Registration....new......registration is now online through the Recreation Department WebTrac Online Registration System. You must have a password and ID login along with a credit card to access the system which you may obtain by contacting the Recreation Department Office. Anyone with the password and ID may enter the site from the main page of the Town website www.newcanaan.info. Under the section "Recreation Quick Links" look for a selection for Online Program Registration and click on the hyperlink. This will take you to the online system.
A large soccer program dominates the fall activities, including instruction and league games for boys in grades K-4 and girls in grades K-6. The program is held on Saturday mornings at Waveny Park from mid-September through early November. Children are assigned to a team with volunteer coaches, practice once a week, and play league games on Saturdays. The program is in need of volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. Prior experience is helpful but not necessary. Anyone interested in coaching or assisting can sign-up at the time of registration or call the Recreation Department. A mandatory meeting for coaches and assistant coaches is held prior to the start of each program. All registered children will be contacted by their coaches after this meeting and games will begin shortly after.
