The New Canaan Recreation Department will sponsor a Waveny Pool Swim Team this summer.

The Waveny Swim Team is open to children who are current season Waveny Pool Pass holders. Mandatory tryout sessions will be held in mid-June(see dates and times) that children must attend. Children who qualify and are selected as members of the Swim Team will receive swimming technique training, learn the basics of competitive swimming, and compete in age group swim competitions against other clubs and towns. Children who are not advanced enough for the team will be appointed to group and/or private lessons.

Swim Team practices will be held Monday through Friday mornings from late-June through late-July. Swim Team home dual meets are in need of parent volunteers to assist with timing, scorekeeping, judging, and awards. Please sign up to help at the mid-June tryouts by contacting the Head Swim Team Coach at the Waveny Pool.
